St. Louis Cardinals 10, Atlanta Braves 4

Sorry for the long delay in posting. I have been extremely busy, and on top of that, my internet access is not working properly.

Anyway, the Braves defense had a comedy of errors in the 2nd inning. The Cardinals scored 6 runs, and the Braves never had a good chance to get back into the game. John Thomson pitched only 4 innings and allowed 8 runs, but only 4 of them were earned. He allowed 2 hits, walked 3 and struck out 2. He didn't pitch nearly as bad as his line indicated.

Hitting stars: Chipper Jones went 1 for 4 with a home run. Rafael Furcal went 2 for 3 and had a walk and an RBI. Andruw Jones was 2 for 3.

I'm typing this recap as the Braves play their west coast game in the first game of the Padres series. I'll try to recap this game ASAP.

Typo--Thomson actually allowed 7 hits, not 2 hits.
